The Syrian people have once again shown their support for President Bashar al-Assad, holding a pro-Assad rally in Western Syria.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Tens of thousands of Syrians took part in a march and rally on Tuesday in support of President Bashar al-Assad, in the wesyern city of Tartous.

The massive crowd expressed their support for President Assad and called for an end to foreign interference in Syria’s domestic affairs. They also called on all Syrians to unite for the sake of national interest.

The demonstrator also showed their appreciation for the Syrian army, praising the army for its staunch fight against armed terrorists and armed gangs.

Unrest in Syria began in March of this year, with various groups and gangs which receive weaponry and funding from abroad embarking on a campaign of random killings, trying to destabilize the country.

Meanwhile, a Saudi analysts and middle east expert, Hamzeh Al-Hassan, has revealed that Saudi Arabia has set aside 50 Billion dollars to fund a military strike or armed insurrection against Syria.

According to Hamzeh Al-Hassan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey disagree as to how to deal with current developments in Syria. Hassan says Syria is one of the major topics of discussion in Turkish President Abdullah Gul’s upcoming visit to Riyadh.
